MOWA Driver Injured in Work-Related Explosion


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Carmel, IN.


Plainfield, Indiana resident and Midwest Open Wheel Association regular Mike Terry Jr. was injured this evening in an explosion at the Carmel, Indiana High School.


According to firefighters on scene, Terry and one other person, believed to be the maintenance person for the high school, were re-lighting a boiler after doing routine maintenance on it when the explosion occurred. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at the 500 Block of E Main St at roughly 6:10pm.


It is unclear the extent of Terry or the other person involved injuries at this time. Sources close to Terry are stating that he is alert and conscious at this time.
