(january 14, 2019) Ricky Weiss maneuvered his way way from the 11th starting position Sunday night and dodged bad luck to pull out the $14,000 Wild West Shootout finale. Ricky picked up his second win and richest of the mini-series on Sunday night after winning the day race make up on Saturday. The fastest driver in the west all week was Bobby Pierce winning the first three evnets and looking to cash in on more bonus money Sunday Night. Pierce started on the pole and looked to be heading for a fourth victory that would have given him a $25,000 Keyser Manufacturing Bonus. About halfway through Sunday nights event Pierce slowed as a rear end broke on the 32 Rocket giving the lead over to Weiss Sweet-Bloomquist teammate Scott.

Bloomquist looked to be on his way to his first victory of 2019 and biggest payday of the year so far for anyone until he made contact with a lapped car on the white flag lap. The incident heavily damaged the 0 car and Wiess inherited the lead for a Green-White-Checkard finish. Weiss put his #7 car in Hoker Trucking Victory lane for the 2nd time in as many days and for the fourth time in the desert over the last two seasons. The $14,000 payday was the biggest so far in 2019 for anyone.
