Saturday March 30, 2019 - Mother Nature dumped heavy rains on the state of Illinois overnight and has led to the cancellation of many racing events. The 1st day of the Thaw Brawl at LaSalle Speedway has been postponed. This comes after the event was moved to a Saturday and Sunday event earlier in the week after gloomy weather forecasts. The day 1 event has been rescheduled for Saturday July 20th. Track crews will work today to prepare the speedway grounds for the day 2 portion that will pay $15,000 to win Sunday afternoon. The gates will open at 11am with hot laps scheduled for 1pm. RPM will be LIVE Sunday with updates and reports out of LaSalle.
Other Illinois events that fell prey to Mother Nature was Highland Speedway who for the second weekend in a row cancelled. They will attempt to run the Lucky 40 race next Saturday April 6th.
Peoria Speedway season opener was cancelled due to the rain, they will attempt to run a practice Sunday March 31st from 2pm to 5pm.
Lincoln Speedway Test and Tune for Saturday March 30th was also cancelled and they will try to get in a final test and tune next Sunday April 7th before the season opener on April 12th.
Farmer City Raceway will attempt to run a final practice day on Sunday March 31st ahead of its track opening World of Outlaws Illini 100 weekend next weekend.
