It has been nothing short of a dream season for the mid-twenty year old kid out of New Berlin, IL. Six-digit checks, leading money winner on both the World of Outlaw and Lucas Oil National Late Model tours. A handful of crown jewels and getting historic car owner Mark Richards his first every victory at the famed Eldora Speedway. If all of that isn't enough to convince you that Brandon Sheppard might be a Hall of Famer budding right before our eyes then throw in the feat that he hopes to achieve this weekend in Charlotte.

Brandon has already locked up his 2019 World of Outlaw Late Model Championship but he would like to be the first driver ever to have 19 wins on the tour in one season. With Brandon's performance this season it would seem like he should have this wrapped up. But 68 other drivers are on hand this weekend and have their eyes set on the same checkard flag Brandon does.

As we take a look back at Brandon's season he has won everywhere he has went not mattering what state he's in, what series he's running or what type of track he's at. Out of the gate he sweeps the Volusia Speedweeks with 4 gators in 4 days. He wins the Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway to kick of the Lucas Oil regular season. Brandon finallly breaks through at Eldora for his first win plus gave Rocket Chassis owner Mark Richard's his first trip to victory lane as the Rocket housecar owner. Big wins followed the Rocket Racing team wherever they went. Six figure checks at the Dirt Million and Dirt Track World Championship helped him acquire over $559,000 in first place winnings this year. Throw in a thrilling win at the #PDC in his back yard and putting his family owned rocket in victory lane during the the #FALS Frenzy and you have a dream season for such a young driver from a small town in central Illinois.

Brandon is a humble driver that you find hard to not like. Sheppard looks to return to the Rocket house car for 2020 but has some unfinished business this weekend at the World Finals as he searches for win #19 on the World of Outlaw Late Model tour and cap off his 2019 championship. He will have two shots this weekend with a double show at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. All the action is LIVE on DIRTVision and

Brandon Sheppard has become a household name in the dirt racing community and many more wins are in his future. Could we see the next GOAT coming into his own right before our eyes? Time will tell but I think we are in for a treat for years to come.
